Cypress Hills Grasslands Art Centre and Farm House Gallery

The Farm House Gallery

"Contemporary Art in an Old-Fashioned Setting"

The Farm House Gallery is next door to the Cypress Hills Grasslands Art Centre.

Many of the pieces of furniture were rescued from out buildings on the ranch.  The most amazing is an armoire that was in a tiny room of an old log cabin. This tiny room was the only part of cabin still covered by a roof. the rest of the cabin has collapsed.
Not far from the log cabin is the foundation of a house. The house had been moved long ago to a valley north of our ranch. The hole left became a collection spot for rubbish. The head and foot boards of an iron wrought bed were wrestled out, taken to Eckhart's in Maple Creek for straightening and are now awaiting for the next stage of restoration.
This bed will form the backdrop for many of the gorgeous Keepsake Woolen seamless sweaters, hand-made felt vests and woven afghans.

The art work you will have an opportunity to buy is from a variety of Saskatchewan artists.

Come and explore everything The Farm House Gallery has to offer during the 3rd Annual SW Quest for Saskatchewan Art and History self-guided tour on 28 and 29 July 2007.
